Windows 11's AI-powered Audio Enhancement feature can cause weirdly glitchy audio problems with its extra processing, and Studio Effects adds AI processing that gives people an uncanny valley look on their webcams. If these sound annoying to you, here's how to magic them away!

Disable the sound-glitching Audio Enhancement

Open your Settings, go to System, and select Sound. In that menu, you'll see a list of all your output and input sound devices.

Click on the device you use to hear sound, scroll to the bottom of that page, and change "Audio enhancements" to "Off" in the drop-down menu.

Repeat that process for your input device, and bing-bang-boom, you've sent this bit of AI back into the ether from which it came.

Disable the uncanny valley Windows Studio Effects

Press the Windows key + A to open up the quick settings, where you'll see a button labeled "Studio effects" if your computer is equipped with this. If you don't see it, congrats! This is already one AI feature you don't have to worry about.

If you do see it, you can click it to toggle off any AI webcam effects you don't want your computer to use. Ta-daaa!
